It’s a rare experience to work with someone on something as complex as a book and not have to worry about getting it done, because you know that everything down to the smallest detail is handled with care – that’s what it’s like taking on a project with Spiridon.

He already has a vision when he approaches an artist, and he goes far beyond initial expectations to achieve it. The quality control, design, project management – every aspect is treated with the same level of care, and it shows when you hold the book in your hands. It’s incredible. He takes on projects he’s passionate about and works hard to make it the best it can possibly be. As an artist, it was a great experience for me to work with Spiridon on “Crimson”, not just to have someone manage a large project, but because he understands my work and my style, and knew exactly what to do to make my book look like a work of art itself.

I knew, even before any details were set about this book, that I want to call it Crimson. I was the one thing that stood out in all my favorite pieces made by Abigail and since she agreed with the title I knew, now I have to deliver WHY the name was fitting. Going with that design, seemed like a logical choice. Working with her on the book has been an absolute pleasure, and she really trusted me that I know what I am doing, which always makes my side of the project much easier :)

Crimson is a 280 x 214 mm book with 248 pages of content. It is printed on 150g Munken arctic paper and is a hardcover book. The black edges and the hot foil stamping on the first page of the flyleafs were exclusive to the edition you got during the campaign. The post-campaign books don't have these.

Many thanks to Viktor Pushkarev for the creation of the logo and font and his support with Abigail’s ornament works.
