The Kéfi Podcast is a side-product of the conversations I had this year to reconnect with people I did not catch up with, because of the COVID-pandemic and the resulting lack of events. I hope that listening to these chats about mental health, work-life balance and other relatable topics, can make the listener feel somehow less alone or maybe even give strength or inspiration for self-improvement.
What is kéfi?
As defined in an old Greek movie, the true meaning of kéfi is “that desire leftover after pain and sorrow. It‘s that outburst that turns into a smile, a song or a dance”. Kéfi is when you enjoy life in a holistic way, and accept things you can’t control but still find meaning in them. And sometimes, kéfi is even stronger when life is tough. When you are grateful for the full spectrum of your emotions. Life is full of such contrasting moments and that’s what we talk about in the Kéfi Podcast.
The Kéfi Podcast | Gary Laib
The amazing Gary Laib chatted with me about life. There is no easier or more complex way to put it as we are essentially covering everything we like to chat about and about the things we have in common. I enjoyed this chat so much, and I hope you will too!
The Kéfi Podcast | Nicolás Uribe
I had the pleasure of talking with Nicolás about happiness, about creating art that is affordable for everybody, and about knowing the meaning of "enough". I think back to this conversation with pleasure and as a conversation that changed my perspective. I recorded this in 2020 but now it is even more relevant than before.
The Kéfi Podcast | Wouter 'Wokkie' Gort
In this episode I am chatting with Wouter „Wokkie“ Gort about playing games and watching shows, quitting your job, and „adulting“. Also, I kinda talk more than usual in this episode. But that’s just because Wokkie kept asking questions! An enjoyable chat, very casual, and despite the lousy audio, I am sure you will enjoy it!
The Kéfi Podcast | Pablo Carpio
If casual chats between friends aren't really something you like to listen to, then this episode is probably not for you. Or maybe it is. Maybe if you would like to relate to the problem of accepting the value of your own struggle, this episode is very much for you. Pablo and I talk about that and much more, in an unnecessarily long episode of the Kéfi Podcast.
The Kéfi Podcast | Danar Worya
I had so much fun chatting with Danar about self-improvement, the hurdles we shared as immigrants in a different country, and the things we can do ourselves to stay healthy.
The Kéfi Podcast | Angi Pauly Llobet
Angi and I get to talk about ADHD, OCD, finding peace in uncertain times, and letting go of sources for stress. Recorded: 13th of Nov 2020
The Kéfi Podcast | Fabio Palvelli
Fabio is a cheerful guy who talks about how to remain exactly that. We discuss mindfulness, acceptance, letting go of stress, and of toxic people.
The Kéfi Podcast | Daniel Landerman
Daniel works for BOND, an advertising agency in the entertainment industry, and has a lot to talk about. We cover the topics of family, meditation, studio work VS freelancing, and a lot more.
The Kéfi Podcast | Thabiso Mhlaba
Thabiso is an artist specialized in characters and has a lot to share about his journey that started at an early age where he left Zimbabwe with his family to move to the United States of America. We are talking about cultures, burnout and the influence our families have on us.
The Kéfi Podcast | Sebastien Hue
I met with Sebastien Hue, an incredible freelance concept wizard, and super nice dude. We talked about freelancing, family, and ASMR, which is something I hardly knew anything about. It was super nice and I learned a lot! I hope you will enjoy it :) Sorry for the bad audio, but due to tech issues I had to use the backup file from the call we had.
The Kéfi Podcast | Geoffrey Ernault
My guest Geoffrey Ernault is talking about his approach to tackle new projects, launch his own game, about struggles and therapy. Geoffrey is a concept designer working in the gaming industry and before he became a successful freelancer he worked for Riot Games.
The Kéfi Podcast | Bastien Lecouffe Deharme
In this first episode, I am talking with Bastien Lecouffe Deharme about defining moments in his life, and about managing working long hours, and why he puts up with the stress.
