Published by Éditions Caurette this 408 page giant is full of Jesper’s work for clients like Wizards of the Coast, Blizzard, Fantasy Flight Games and many more. It is an A4 hardcover book with a beautiful matte finish and spot UV. I was hired to design the book and worked directly with Jesper on it.
Working on this book was an experience that changed me. At this time it was the biggest book I ever designed and it made changes necessary. A way to work through a big amount of artworks and put them together in a way it made sense. Without Elsewhere many, later books would have been a way tougher job to handle. I play and collect Magic cards myself so Jesper’s art was not new to me. But to see the sheer amount of work he has created, and this book has maybe 1 or 2 personal pieces, that is just stunning.
Working with Jesper was an absolute pleasure and Jean-Christophe gave me a lot of freedom when it comes to visualization. I can only hope I get to make another book with them!
